- Nanny McPhee

It makes me cry every time, especially the second film when “lesson 5: to have faith, is complete”. Such an awesome film.

University Guide!

Hey all you bloggers,

I’ve added a new page to Inspirational Aspirations of Stardom specifically for those coming to University to study my course next year »Click Here«! Even if you’re not coming to my Uni there may be a few tips and pointers that you may find helpful. There’s stuff about the course, dealing with moving away, freshers week and things to do in Lincoln!

Moving to University is a daunting experience for anyone. When I was moving I wish I had a first hand experience about what it was like, so here’s my advice to you. Think of it as me giving something back.

Hope you find it useful!

Regents Park - London

Just had to post this. I took it last week whilst enjoying a little picnic. Quite impressed with my photography skills. Check out the family at the bottom holding hands - so cute.

I honestly don’t know where I’d be without my family. They make me grow, flourish and keep inspiring me every second of every day. I owe them everything.

I’m inspired.

So, apart from celebrating the finalisation of my newsreel essay I’ve been thinking for the rest of the day who actually inspires me? A question I’m going to attempt to answer.

At a glance I look to celebrity figures like Lady GaGa, Beyoncé or even my very faithful Mr Taylor Lautner. All of them inspire me in completely different ways, but what I find so unique is that they all stand for what they believe in, especially GaGa.

I’ve seen both Lady GaGa and Beyoncé live on stage and seriously, I’ve never seen anything like it in my entire life. In the few hours that I spent in the same room as them I’ve never been so inspired and been able to achieve whatever I want to. When you put everything into retrospect you realise how tiny the world actually is, as if you’re holding this tiny grain of sand between your fingertips. It’s those kind of moments that make you suddenly stop and go, hold on a minute, I can actually do whatever I want to do.

Reading is another thing that has inspired me. It has been people around me who have encouraged me to pick up a book and read, my Nan most prominently. When I was younger the only kind of words I was concerned about where those coming out of the mouths of people on TV. Now, the words I care about most, are the written ones. It’s taken me about 6 months to get through the Twilight Saga, and never have I felt so attached to a group of characters in my entire life. Another one of my favourite authors, Lindsey Kelk, also proved to me that reading can actually make you stop and think.

Yet, the most important inspiration I hold is the closest people around me; my family and friends. Every day I wake up and want to write about something new, and it is them I look to for inspiration. When you write a blog, a piece of fiction or even a tweet I’ve learnt it should come from the heart, the written word is certainly more powerful than the sword.

So there you have it, I’ve been inspired and I hope you have to!

The First Day of 2011.

Happy New Year! I suppose these 3 words have been heard by all of you wherever you’ve gone for the past 15 hours. Instead of breaking the trend, I decide to wish you all the best for the upcoming year, hoping you live by your inspirations and achieve your aspirations to your stardom, whatever that may be.

Last night was just as planned. I got to spend it with my two bestest friends in the entire world. Kate and I welcomed the new year in with a very unusual ritual. We wrote down all the things we wanted to achieve this year and at midnight we lit a very special candle. Gradually we burned the pieces of paper until there was nothing but ash left. Afterwards we both felt empowered and we welcomed the 2011 with open arms.

I am actually in the process of turning my year into motion with a quick video including what happened last night…

For me, my first day of 2011 is being spent being as lazy as I possibly can. I have a chip baguette cooking in the oven (minus the bread as that would be burnt to a crisp by now), and I’m sat watching Disney’s Pixa - WALL.E.

We were meant to be venturing to my Nan’s today (Hello Nan if you’re reading this), but unfortunately my Father decided that we were not going. Clearly both of them are too hung-over to function. -sigh-.

For now though all you bloggers, I’m going to enjoy the rest of the film and my baguette. I’ll be sure to post the video on here later, but for now - HAPPY NEW YEAR.
