Waking up in the morning and not having to worry about assignments or exams is an indescribable luxury. June marks the start of my summer break, three whole months of doing exactly what I want to do and nothing more. Things like sleeping in, starting Buffy from season 1, reading my book and watching a dutch film are some of the littlest things that have made me happy.
This month could possibly be the busiest out of the three, there’s plenty of events to attend and of course Rome, there’s only one way to put it - it’s going to be fabulous! The first day of the holidays has been spent in bed with food poisoning, I could imagine other things I would rather be doing. Like maybe taking a trip to Meadowhall to buy some clothes for Rome? Mew.
I find it hard to believe that a whole years work is completely finished. All the stress, staying up till 12am in the newsrooms, sheer dedication comes down to this. Now I need to hope that all the hard works is going to pay off - we’ll just wait and find out.
But first, it’s back to bed time for me!
